What We Work On Together

Evidence-based support for adults and couples, and the challenges that don't resolve on their own.

Individual Therapy for Adults

One-on-one sessions designed around how you actually think and communicate. Some clients arrive with a specific issue; others only know something isn't working. Both are fine starting points.

We'll dig into the root of the issue together, understand it through the lens of your nervous system and your relationships, and build a plan that incorporates healing, resilience, and direction that makes sense to you.

Common focus areas: stress and burnout, anxiety, depression, anger, life transitions, identity, grief, substance use, chronic pain, adult ADHD, and relationship patterns.

Emerging Adults: Direction & Skills for Real Life

There's a stretch between finishing school and feeling like an actual adult that nobody prepares you for. If you're in your late teens or twenties and feeling behind, directionless, or overwhelmed by decisions everyone else seems to handle easily, that's not a defect. It's a stage, and it responds extremely well to the right support.

This work is practical and respectful. You're a capable person who wants traction, not hand-holding. Together we work on direction and identity (what you actually want, not what you inherited), confidence and self-trust, and concrete skills: boundaries, communication, decision-making, and managing the real-world stress of money, work, and relationships.

A note for parents: I work with your emerging adult directly, as the capable adult they are. That's usually exactly what makes it work.

Attachment & Relationship Patterns

Much of what goes wrong in adult relationships has roots in early attachment. Understanding your pattern, and your partner's, opens new ways of responding. This runs through both my individual and couples work, because struggles between people are usually where the work is.

Chronic Pain & Somatic Concerns

My doctoral research examined the efficacy of mindfulness-based protocols for treating chronic pain and somatic disorders. The mind-body connection isn't a metaphor here; it's a clinical focus. I work with clients whose physical symptoms and mental health are tangled together, as they so often are.

Adult ADHD

Understanding, practical strategies, and self-respect for adults who've spent years being told to just focus or try harder.

Life Transitions

Career change, separation, new parenthood, midlife, loss. Transitions that look external are usually identity work underneath.
